After six years at St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, Connecticut, Father Reiser entered the Society of Jesus and later attended Boston College. He majored in philosophy and then taught in the Philosophy Department at Holy Cross for three years. He completed his theology studies at the Weston Jesuit School of Theology in Cambridge and was ordained in 1972. He did doctoral studies at Vanderbilt University. Father Reiser has been teaching theology at Holy Cross since 1978. Some of his writings include

Fr. Bill served many years at Our Lady of Fatima Parish being involved pastorally with the Hispanic community and continues to do so since its merger with St. Bernard’s Parish which now forms Our Lady of Providence Parish. Fr. Bill also works with the Hispanic community at St. Luke’s Parish in Westborough.
