In the midst of the sirens wailing and first responder’s lights flashing as they race up and down Lincoln Street. In the midst of the darkness that seems to infiltrate these neighborhood streets; we at St. Bernard's Church with your help are looking to bring a bit of light to the lives of many this holiday season. We gather bringing individuals together so that we might remember what unites and bonds us as a people. We have an opportunity to share in the common good, restoring a love that is at times lost.
During the Advent Season we pick a Sunday evening in which we invite the community to gather in the front of the Church for Holiday fesitivities. We sing Christmas carols and learn of the light of Christ. Through donations we are able to provide coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies. Collaborating with Worcester Police, Worcester EMS and the Worcester Fire Department we ensure that Santa arrives safetly for his visit with the neighberhood children. Before he arrives though we turn the switch to "Light up Lincoln St."
We invite you to participate with us on December 4th at 5:30pm following our Sunday night 5pm mass.
